Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Adesse, LLC, doing business as Finite Phone ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, as Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada law define that term, through our websites, our account site at my.finitephone.com, the Finite Phone app, and email. We apply it to everyone, wherever they live.
1. Consumer health data we collect, and how we use it
| What we may collect | How we use it |
|---|---|
| Information about your health that you choose to include in a note with a request, in a message through our contact form, or in an email to us | To decide and answer that request or message |
| The name of an app you ask us to approve, where the app relates to health, such as a medical or fitness app | To decide your request, tell you our decision, and show the request on your account page |
| The names of apps you choose for your settings, such as Second Thought, where an app relates to health | To apply your settings to your phone, and to restore them if you set up Finite Phone again |
We ask you not to include health information in notes and messages, because we do not need it.
2. Sources
We collect consumer health data only from you.
3. How we process it
We keep consumer health data in our database. When you send a request or a message, our systems also email a copy of it to the person at Finite Phone who reviews requests, and only that person has access to it. We delete requests and messages, including any note and the emailed copy, 12 months after the later of when they were made and when they were closed. We keep your settings while your account exists.
4. Who receives it
We do not sell consumer health data, we do not share it with third parties, and we have no affiliates. The following service providers store or deliver it for us, under agreements that limit how they may use it: Google LLC (hosting, our database, and our mailbox) and Postmark (email delivery). When we review an app you ask for, we send public information about that app to Google's Gemini API and Anthropic's Claude API, and if you typed the app's name instead of giving a link, we may send that name to the Gemini API to find the app. We send nothing that identifies you with them, and we do not send your notes or messages to any AI service.
5. Your rights
You may ask us:
- to confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, and to give you a copy of it, with a list of the companies that have received it and how to contact them;
- to correct it;
- to delete it; and
- to stop collecting or using it, by withdrawing any consent you gave.
To make a request, email support@finitephone.com from the address on your account, or from the address you used to send us the information, so that we can verify that the request comes from you. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days, and we will respond within 45 more days. When we delete consumer health data, we delete it from our active systems within 30 days after we verify your request, it is removed from our database backups when they expire, within 7 more days, and we tell our service providers to delete it. We will not treat you differently because you exercised any of these rights.
If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our answer. We will respond to your appeal in writing within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general: Washington residents at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint, and Nevada residents at ag.nv.gov/Complaints/File_Complaint/.
6. Other companies on our websites
No other company collects consumer health data about you through our websites, over time or across other websites. When you open our account site on a phone or in Safari, or choose Google sign-in in another browser, your browser loads Google's sign-in code, and Google receives your IP address, your browser details, and any Google cookies your browser sends, but not consumer health data.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, and we limit access to consumer health data to the people who need it to run Finite Phone.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will email account holders at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. We will not collect or use consumer health data for a new purpose, or share it in a new way, unless we first tell you and you consent.
